Barbara Claerhout studied Bioengineering at the Catholic University of Leuven, specializing in "Waters and Forest" (graduated in 1988). Afterwards, she completed a master's degree in "Landscape Design" from the University of Sheffield (graduated in 1990). Over 30 years, Barbara has been designing a carefully selected amount of gardens.

This portfolio highlights an enclosed garden in the heart of Bruges, designed in 2004, a garden in the Flemish countryside with English influences (designed in 2008) and a contemporary bold office garden (designed in 2024). These designs showcase Barbara’s versatility as a landscape designer, reflecting both the identity of the place and the needs of the owners, while clearly conveying a distinct vision and design narrative.
